Decentring: Argentina

The Argentinian team, composed of ELT researchers, practitioners, and preservice teachers, has been working on the first infographic titled “Decentering and Decolonising ELT Materials,” based on a comprehensive revision of existing national literature. This collective work, grounded in discussions of the literature and the experiences of these professionals representing different fronts, seeks to share this information in an easily accessible way to empower EFL teachers and enrich education by integrating local materials and challenging dominant ideologies in English language teaching. It encourages professional development and community engagement to support inclusive and reflective practices. By incorporating diverse perspectives, the team aims to foster a more equitable and culturally relevant approach to ELT.
