Decentring: Brazil

In the Brazilian team, experienced researchers, pre-service teachers, and schoolteachers are participating in this project. Their first infographic is titled “Exploratory Practice as Practitioner Research,” highlighting the importance of empowering teachers to become researchers. This approach encourages teachers to reflect on their own practices and use familiar classroom activities as data-gathering tools to address issues in their classrooms, thereby improving the quality of life for the school community.

By working on this infographic, the team aims to invite more ELT communities to challenge traditional roles assigned to teachers and reconsider their power in daily practice. In Exploratory Practice, teachers are viewed as learners, fostering a collaborative and reflective professional environment.
